The three-person Buster's Lottery Club from Wayne County, Michigan, thought they had won a few bucks on their Keno The Jack ticket, but when they checked the winning numbers, they were in for a big surprise. Their prize was $151,467.
The team matched eight of the 20 Club Keno numbers in draw #2274337. The winning The Jack numbers were 03, 13, 23, 34, 40, 42, 43, and 57. Buster's Lottery Club purchased their winning ticket from Rocky's Roadhouse, located at 5784 West Jefferson in Trenton.
The friends meet regularly at Rocky’s Roadhouse. Their representative said:
Whenever we are at the bar, me and my friends throw in money and play Club Keno. After the last drawing on our ticket, I scanned it thinking maybe we had won a few dollars, so when we saw the amount of $151,467, we weren't sure if it was real. Once we saw The Jack amount had reset on the Club Keno screen, we knew winning was real.
How to play Club Keno's The Jack game
The Jack is one of three Keno add-ons offered by the Michigan Lottery. It allows players to opt for an additional eight numbers from 1 to 80 to play in a Club Keno drawing to win a progressive jackpot prize. The numbers are randomly selected. When you choose The Jack add-on, you will see your randomly selected numbers printed on your Keno ticket. These numbers will be played separately from your other numbers. The Jack game has its own prize levels. You can play The Jack add-on for $1.
Michigan Lottery's other Club Keno add-ons
As well as The Jack, the Michigan Lottery also offers these Club Keon add-ons:
- Kicker: This is a multiplier add-on. If you choose it, a multiplier of 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, or 10 will be randomly selected and added to your Keno drawing. When you play Kicker, your winnings from the Club Keno entry will be multiplied by the Kicker number, but not your winnings from any other add-ons. The price to add Kicker to your Keno ticket is twice the amount of your current ticket wager.
- Extra: If you choose the Extra add-on, you will first select the 20 numbers for the Club Keno drawing. You can then choose an additional 10 numbers from the remaining numbers. This add-on costs $1 to play. You may win the Club Keno drawing and the Extra drawing simultaneously. Extra has its own prize levels. The top prize for winning Extra is $500,000. The Jack numbers are not played in an Extra drawing. The Kicker add-on does not apply to Extra prizes.
