Many people start a new year with resolutions or plans for new beginnings. What better a fresh start than a lottery win? Three lucky North Dakota lottery players started the new year with big winnings. The three prizes amounted to a total of $244,000.

A $200,000 prize won in Fordville
The biggest win was a Powerball prize of $200,000 from the December 30, 2023 drawing. The anonymous winner from Fordville purchased their ticket from Hugo's #10, located at 155 East 12th Street in Grafton. The prize for the win was originally $50,000, but the player added the Power Play option, which boosted the prize to $200,000. The winner plans to use the money to enjoy time with their grandchildren and save for retirement. The winning numbers were 10, 11, 26, 27, 34, and Powerball number 7.
A $22,000 prize won in Bismarck
On December 22, 2023, Earl Heinert from Bismarck won a 2by2 jackpot prize of $22,000. He purchased the ticket from the Family Fare Supermarket #3126, located at 835 South Washington Street in Bismarck. Earl said that he and his wife were excited to have won a prize, though they didn't realize how much it was until they visited the Lottery headquarters to claim it. The winning numbers were red numbers 11 and 14 and white numbers 9 and 13.
A $22,000 prize won in Fargo
Another North Dakota won a $22,000 2by2 jackpot prize on December 24, 2023. The anonymous player purchased the ticket from Cash Wise Foods #3012, located at 1401 South 33rd Street, Fargo. The winner said they were thankful for a big win. They got the New Year off to a great start by winning red numbers 16 and 19 and white numbers 1 and 20.
